There’s a lot going on at your local library this summer! The St. Charles City-County Library District offers a wide variety of fun activities and learning experiences for all ages at its branches in western St. Charles County.

Registration for these events is not required UNLESS otherwise noted. Events that are already filled or have a waiting list are not included in the listing. Although some events had openings when this listing was posted, they may fill at any time. Check the event calendar to see if registration is still open.

Monday, June 4

  • Time for Twos, 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. For ages 24-36 months
  • Needle Arts, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Time to work on handheld needle projects. Registration required.
  • Technology Open Lab, 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Adults. Assistance with computers, e-readers, tablets, or other devices.

Tuesday, June 5

  • Story Time, 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., ages 3-6.
  • ESL Conversation Class, 5 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. Improve your English in role play conversations.
  • Technology Open Lab, 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Assistance with computers, e-readers, tablets, or other devices

  • Ready to Go Digital, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Adults, seniors. Learn how to use the “eLibrary.” Registration required.
  • Rockin’ Robin Picture, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Create a picture with provided supplies. Registration required.

Saturday, June 9

  • Saturday Morning Chess Club, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. All ages. Just drop in.
  • Medicare Counseling, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Adults and seniors. Help with choosing a Medicare plan. Registration required.
  • Tweens Create: CD Weaving, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Grades 4-8. Recycle an old CD with yarn weaving. Supplies and snacks provided. Registration required.

Sunday, June 10

  • Every Hero Has a Story. Every Rock Star Has a Dream. 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Adults. Write your own personal Hero’s Journey. Registration required.
