Rafay Cheema, a fourth-grade student at Crossroads Elementary in the Wentzville School District, earned sixth place overall at the Missouri Council of Teachers of Mathematics (MCTM) State Math Competition held at Columbia College on May 6.
The Wentzville School District Board of Education has approved the hiring of Ryan Andrews as principal of Peine Ridge Elementary School for the 2017-2018 school year.
Each year, seniors in the Wentzville School District compete for scholarships from the City of Wentzville’s Water Division. This year, three $750 scholarships were awarded to one student from each of the district’s three high schools.
The Wentzville School District Class of 2017 has been awarded more than $160,000 worth of local scholarships during Senior Honors Convocation events. Individual amounts of these awards range from $200 to $4,000.
