Beer lovers from across the region will gather in the heart of Missouri’s scenic wine country from noon – 5 p.m., Saturday, May 18, for the 3rd annual Daniel Boone Home Brew Fest at The Historic Daniel Boone Home in Defiance. Get the perfect pour of more than 40 different Missouri beers brewed by homebrewers from across the state.
Presented by the St. Charles County Parks and Recreation Department, the Daniel Boone Home Brew Fest is open to guests 21 years and older. Missouri homebrewers and home brew clubs featured at the event include Beer Sauce Shop, KC Cider Co, Brewer’s True Value, St. Charles County Society of Brewers, Little Hills Home Brewers, Garage Brewers Society, St. Louis Brewminati, Arch Nemesis Brewing, Jefferson County Home Brewers, Vintage Anglers, Social Call Brewing, Donkey Lips Brewing and The Brü Club.
Along with an afternoon of unlimited beer sampling, tickets include a souvenir tasting glass and tour of The Historic Daniel Boone Home. Participants will cast their vote for the “People’s Choice” Best Homebrew. The brewers vote for “Brewer’s Choice and the winner of the “Judge’s Choice” will get to brew and serve their winning recipe at Good News Brewing in O’Fallon.
The beer festival also features live entertainment with Silver Creek Bluegrass Band from noon–2 p.m., and Skylark Brothers Band from 2–5 p.m. Noto Pizza food truck will be on site with tasty eats for purchase.
The Daniel Boone Home Brew Fest is limited to 500 attendees. The Historic Daniel Boone Home is located at 1868 Highway F, Defiance, MO 63341, and overlooks the scenic Femme Osage Valley. The 300-acre site includes The Historic Daniel Boone Home, adjoining Village historic site, and surrounding property.
