BREAKING: O’Fallon Police Post Incident Alert, Suspect in Custody

UPDATE: The St. Charles County Police Department posted on their Facebook page just before 11 p.m. that the suspect in the incident has surrendered and is in custody.

UPDATE: The St. Louis Post-Dispatch says O’Fallon police chief called this a domestic situation. Man barricaded in basement of home, girlfriend with minor injuries. A police dog may have been hurt.

UPDATE: KSDK reports the incident as a “standoff,” saying that police have surrounded a home.

UPDATE: KMOV reports that St. Charles County has activated the SWAT team to the O’Fallon incident.

The O’Fallon Police Department posted the following incident alert on their Facebook page at approximately 3:30 p.m. Sunday:

“INCIDENT ALERT-Please avoid the area of Cordes Avenue and Main Street due to an ongoing police incident. If you live in the area please stay in your homes and please refrain from posting any pictures of our personnel or video for the time being for their safety. Thank you.”
