Pick up some good vibrations at the next O’Fallon Jammin concert with Beach Boys tribute band Surf’s Up on Tuesday, June 9, from 6:30-9 p.m. in Civic Park, 305 Civic Park Drive, O’Fallon 63366.
From their Hawaiian shirts to four-part harmonies, the band will recreate the Beach Boys’ distinctive sound of the 1960s, ‘70s and beyond on songs like “Surfin’ USA,” “Little Deuce Coupe,” “Fun Fun Fun” and “Good Vibrations.” Admission and parking are free.
Featuring some of the best bands in the region, O’Fallon Jammin’ concerts will be held every Tuesday through August 18 (except June 30) from 6:30-9 p.m. in Civic Park. Admission and parking are free, and food trucks and vendors will provide food and beverages for sale. Hula hoops will be available for kids to play with and an ADA-accessible playground, walking path and restrooms are located nearby. Patrons should bring chairs or blankets for lawn seating. All pets must be leashed. For safety’s sake, no glass containers are allowed in the park. Jammin’ is sponsored by the O’Fallon Parks and Recreation Department with support from local businesses.
The following week on June 16, NashVegas will play contemporary country music, and on June 23, the O’Fallon Community Concert Band will perform music from the movies, pops and standards and the O’Fallon Jazz Band will play big band and jazz. Although there’s no Jammin’ concert on June 30, nationally-known headliners will appear at O’Fallon’s Heritage & Freedom Fest on July 3 and 4. www.heritageandfreedomfest.com
