August 2 Primary Election – Local Results

70 West Sentinel will be posting updates all evening as the votes in St. Charles County are counted. Only contested races in this primary election are listed. Results for races extending outside St. Charles County boundaries are from the Missouri Secretary of State election results website.

City of O’Fallon Proposition Parks – Shall the City of O’Fallon, Missouri, issue its general obligation bonds in an amount up to Twenty Million Seven Hundred Thousand Dollars ($20,700,000) for the purpose of parks and recreation improvements including but not limited to constructing, furnishing and equipping an expansion to Alligator’s Creek Aquatic Center and a new facility for recreation programs in Civic Park and developing O’Day Park by constructing, furnishing and equipping an adventure playground and picnic area, hiking and fitness trails, an outdoor amphitheater, and an activity/conference center?

Lake Saint Louis Fire Protection District
Proposition Life
– In order to provide families and businesses with enhanced services that include needed personnel to respond more efficiently to emergency fire, rescue and medical incidents, these measures will enable the personnel to meet the increased demands for services in the Fire District, shall the Board of Directors of the Lake St. Louis Fire Protection District be authorized to levy an additional 18-cent tax per one hundred dollars assessed valuation to hire additional full-time Firefighters to meet minimum national staffing standards, eliminate existing budget deficits and pay ongoing operating expenses necessary for providing emergency services while reducing response times to emergency calls?

Lake Saint Louis Fire Protection District
Proposition Safety
– Shall the Lake St. Louis Fire Protection District be authorized to issue its general obligation bonds in an amount up to Eight Million Dollars ($8,000,000) to purchase property and construct, furnish and equip a fire station thereon (thereby reducing response times for the District’s entire 6-square mile coverage area), to acquire and equip new and replacement fire fighting vehicles, apparatus and auxiliary equipment to meet current safety standards, and to refinance outstanding lease obligations?

No: 36.14%

St. Charles County Proposition – Shall a maximum charge as specified below and not to exceed fifty dollars be assessed annually on residential property for each lateral sewer service line serving six or less dwelling units on that property and condominiums that have six or less condominium units per building and any condominium responsible for its own individual lateral sewer line to provide funds to pay the cost of certain repairs of those lateral sewer service lines which may be billed quarterly or annually?

The charges authorized hereby shall be assessed only on properties in unincorporated St. Charles County served by sanitary sewers operated by municipalities that contract with St. Charles County for collecting and administering those charges, and shall not exceed the charges that those municipalities assess on properties within their jurisdictions to fund the costs of the repairs identified above.
