The St. Louis Renaissance Festival will be holding auditions for its 2017 cast from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 20 at the festival site at Rotary Park.
The festival is looking for street characters, musicians, singers and dancers, sword fighters, acrobats, faeries and mermaids, and others.
This year’s festival will be open on weekends from September 16 to October 15.
Last year, the festival made the move from a spring run to a fall run. The festival, which was originally known as the Greater St. Louis Renaissance Festival at Wentzville, started in 1999 as the main fundraising event of the local nonprofit Renaissance St. Louis.
The event is now owned by Mid-America Festivals, the same company that runs the Kansas City Renaissance Festival and the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. For more information, check the company’s website at stlrenfest.com or call (952) 496-9232.
