St. Charles County-based child care providers have the opportunity to attend a free training program for active shooter incidents.
The class will be from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 23 at the St. Charles County Department of Public Health, 1650 Boone’s Lick Road, St. Charles 63301. All participants must register online, No walk-ins will be admitted. Participants must be 16 years of age or older.
The program, which will be led by St. Charles County SWAT team members, will identify steps that should be taken in an active shooter incident. The class will review effective strategies for thwarting an intruder and outline options to increase chances for surviving an active-shooter attack.
