According to the National Weather Service, St. Charles and Warren Counties can expect the season’s biggest winter storm to bring six to eight inches of snow to the area by Monday afternoon. The southern tips of both counties may see as much as ten inches.
With frigid temperatures already settled in, the snow – which is expected to begin in the late afternoon, will accumulate quickly. Travel could be hazardous.
The timing of this storm, however, may be a lucky break. Most schools will be closed Monday, February 16 for Presidents Day.
