2019 Fall Events Roundup: Festivals, Fairs, and Halloween Fun

There’s still time to get your organization’s fall festival, craft fair, or trunk-or-treat into our roundup. Just send an email to tammy@70WestSentinel.com. To be included, your event should be free to the public, or if charging admission, must be offered by a government entity, nonprofit organization, or must benefit a charity.

Where information is available, any fee or admission cost is noted.

Friday, September 13

  • St. Patrick Parish Fall Festival, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Carnival, rides, games, DJ, live band, concessions, raffle. Free admission. 701 South Church Street, Wentzville.

Saturday, September 14

  • Paws in the Park, 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Broemmelsiek Park, 1795 Highway DD, Defiance. Contests, prizes, exhibitors, giveaways. Free admission, but pet supply donations encouraged.

Saturday, September 21

  • Augusta Harvest Festival, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Augusta Town Square, Augusta. Pancake breakfast, 5K, parade, pie walk, pony rides, trike races, square dance, silent movie. Concessions available.
  • Fall into the Arts, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., O’Day Park, 1000 O’Day Park Drive, O’Fallon. Art booths, craft beverages, music.
  • Wentzville Fall Festival, noon to 10:30 p.m., Historic Main Street, Wentzville. Vendors, food, live music, kids’ activities
  • Prairie Day, noon to 10:30 p.m., Dardenne Prairie City Hall Park, 2032 Hanley Road, Dardenne Prairie. Craft and business booths, children’s activities, Bubble Bus, live music and entertainment, fireworks. Free admission

Friday, September 27

  • Saint Charles Oktoberfest, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m., Lewis & Clark Boathouse Parking Lot, 1050 South Riverside Drive, St. Charles. Free admission. Vendors, antique car show, dachshund races and fashion show, 5K, children’s activities.

Saturday, September 28

  • Boone Heritage Rendezvous, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., The Historic Daniel Boone Home, 1868 Highway F, Defiance. Living history, black powder matches

  • Free Rec-or-Treat at Renaud Center, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., 2650 Tri Sports Circle, O’Fallon. Bounce houses, haunted house, face painting, characters, games and treats. Wear your costume!
  • Adult Haunted Hayride, 7 p.m., Broemmelsiek Park, 1795 Highway DD, Defiance. Hayride, music, bonfire, concessions available. Admission $15 in advance, $20 at the park. Must be 21 or over.

Saturday, October 5

  • Trunktoberfest, 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., St. Charles Community College, Red Parking Lot. Trick-or-treating, activities, food trucks, outdoor movie (TBD) at dusk

Friday, October 11

  • Movie in the Park, “Casper,” starts at dusk (around 7 p.m.), Boulevard Park Amphitheater, Lake Saint Louis. Bring a lawn chair and cooler.

Saturday, October 12

  • Legends and Lanterns, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Historic Main Street, St. Charles. Characters, ghost stories, hayrides, music, Victorian Mourning Exhibit, scavenger hunt

Sunday, October 13

  • Legends and Lanterns, noon to 5 p.m., Historic Main Street, St. Charles. Characters, ghost stories, hayrides, music, Victorian Mourning Exhibit, scavenger hunt

Thursday, October 17

  • WSCC Trunk or Treat,  5 p.m. to 8 p.m., B&B Wentzville Tower 12, 100 Wentzville Bluffs Drive, Wentzville. Free admission. Bounce houses, Bubble Bus, Kona Ice, movie characters, treats.

Friday, October 18

  • Jack-O-Glow Walk, 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., St. Charles County Heritage Museum, 1630 Heritage Landing, St. Peters. Free admission. Pumpkin carving and prizes (must preregister), pumpkin walk, Halloween movie at 7 p.m.
  • Food Truck Fright, 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Dames Park, 387 Dames Park Drive, O’Fallon. Food trucks, acoustic music around the campfire. Free admission, s’mores and hayride cost $5.

Saturday, October 19

  • Legends and Lanterns, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Historic Main Street, St. Charles. Characters, ghost stories, hayrides, music, Victorian Mourning Exhibit, scavenger hunt
  • Spirits of the Past, 6 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., The Historic Daniel Boone Home, 1868 Highway F, Defiance. Register online, $6. Tour the Historic Daniel Boone Home and village by candlelight and hear storytellers sharing local legends, history, and seasonal tales.

Sunday, October 20

  • Legends and Lanterns, noon to 5 p.m., Historic Main Street, St. Charles. Characters, ghost stories, hayrides, music, Victorian Mourning Exhibit, scavenger hunt

Friday, October 25

  • Halloween Party in the Park, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Founders Park, 7 Freymuth Road, Lake Saint Louis. Hayrides, inflatables, pony rides, games and treats. Costumes not required but encouraged.
  • Legends and Lanterns and Pumpkin Glow, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Historic Main Street, St. Charles. Characters, ghost stories, hayrides, music, Victorian Mourning Exhibit, scavenger hunt

  • Monster Mash Trunk or Treat, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Wentzville Fire Protection District, 502 Luetkenhaus Boulevard, Wentzville. Free pumpkins, hotdogs (if preregistered), games, activities, Bubble Bus.
