How long have you lived in Wentzville? Almost 10 years
If you are challenging an incumbent, what qualifies you for the position more than the incumbent?
I have the background and experience to carry out the roles and responsibilities of Alderman. I have worked with students with special needs for the past 20 years as a special educator and educational diagnostician. In these roles, I have advocated and fought for the rights and needs of children with special needs and their families. I will continue to fight for you as Alderman. I have met and worked with a variety of people and personalities and collaborated with them to obtain their desired results.
What do you see as the single most important duty of an alderman?
Listening to the people in my ward. Being an advocate for them. Working with other Alderman to ensure that our city continues to grow SMART and that it continues to be a wonderful place to live and raise a family.
Are you in favor of or against Wentzville adopting home rule?
I believe that is a decision that should be made by the citizens.
Which of the following municipal issues–business growth, residential growth, infrastructure, tax reductions, historic preservation, parks and recreation opportunities, home rule– do you feel it is important to address over the next five years? (Candidates were allowed to add their own.)
Infrastructure- We are the fastest growing city in St. Charles county. We need to ensure SMART growth and maintain a quality of life that our citizens deserve
Parks and Recreation- I would like to see the addition of a multi-generational recreation center
Historic preservation/revitalize downtown
