Name: John J Haman Jr
Age: 47
Occupation: Driver Trainer
Previous elected offices: O’Fallon City Council Ward 3
How long have you lived in O’Fallon? 22 years

If you are an incumbent, what have you done while in office that you feel provides the most benefit to the city of O’Fallon?
I have protected Residents greatest assets, their families and their homes. I have reduced Real Estate taxes by 24% since taking office. And even with that tax cut, I have increased spending for our Police Department to help keep O’Fallon as one of Americas safest cities (C.Q. Press “Safest Cities). When I first took office, the city of O’Fallon earmarked $0.00 for road improvements, this was not fair to our hard working residents so I fought for a solvent road improvement fund and this year alone we have $4,000,000.00 set to repair the roads you and your family drive on every day. All of this with a balanced budget because you should not have to work hard for your city, your city should work hard for you.
What do you see as the single most important duty of a city councilman?
Public safety is always first and foremost. This is why when our Elected officials were stalled on parts of a child predator law, I found the middle ground to get this passed and now I can proudly say we have one of the most stringent child predator laws in the country that has been copied by other cities. This law was challenged in the Missouri Supreme Court and the courts sided with you and your children.
Which of the following municipal issues–business growth, residential growth, infrastructure, tax reductions, historic preservation, parks and recreation opportunities, safety, downtown redevelopment– do you feel it is important to address over the next five years? (Candidates were allowed to add their own.)

Public Safety
Tax Reduction
Without these 3 you can not have Business growth or residential growth
