How long have you lived in O’Fallon? Since 1994

If you are challenging an incumbent, what qualifies you for the position more than the incumbent?
There is no incumbent in the race. However, when I served before, my favorite achievements were:

  • Sponsorship of, and passing of, an ordinance requiring development in the flood plain to be done responsibly.
  • Curb the abuse of TIFF and TDD money.
  • Overall reduction of City debt.

What do you see as the single most important duty of a city councilman?
To facilitate a safe and inviting township, to attract business and industry for a supportive tax base, and to support a strong and safe infrastructure.

Which of the following municipal issues – business growth, residential growth, infrastructure, tax reductions, historic preservation, parks and recreation opportunities, safety, downtown redevelopment – do you feel it is important to address over the next five years? (Candidates were allowed to add their own.):

business growth
infrastructure
safety
