2-Year-Old from Troy Dies 10 Days after Being Rescued from Burning Car

Paisley Ervin

Paisley Ervin, the toddler who was pulled from a burning car on Interstate 70 on August 26, has died from her injuries.

Tabetha Ervin, Paisley’s mother, posted the following online:

Paisley Suzanne is a fighter. She is one of the strongest girls we had all ever known. Yesterday at 11:15 a.m. she walked through the gates of heaven and sat at the right hand of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We will always love and cherish the 2 short years we had together and never forget the memories that were made. . . We ask that everyone continue to pray for our family as the mourning of losing her begins.

Paisley was in a car with her grandparents when the vehicle struck a piece of metal on the highway, causing the fire.

The grandparents and Paisley’s older brother were able to escape.  However, the grandparents, with the help of a passerby, had to struggle to get Paisley out of her car seat.
